01

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Quid, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don't use the app.

02

What Quid is

Quid is a free companion app helping international students settle into life in the UK. It offers self-managed budgeting tools, a community feed, curated student deals, first-week checklists, and Quid AI, an in-app assistant. Quid is not a bank, does not connect to your bank accounts, and does not move or hold money.

03

Not financial advice

Quid is for general budgeting and information only. Nothing in the app, including Quid AI answers, currency conversions, cost estimates, and deals, is professional financial, legal, tax, or immigration advice. Figures you enter are self-reported and Quid AI can make mistakes, so always check anything important yourself before acting on it. For regulated advice, consult a qualified professional.

04

Your account

You must be at least 16 and a genuine person to use Quid. Provide accurate information and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.

05

Community and acceptable use

You own the content you post, and by posting you give Quid a licence to display it in the app. You must not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, spam, misleading, or that infringes others' rights. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You can report or block content and users in the app, and we aim to review reports promptly.

06

Moderation and termination

We may remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that breach these terms, including immediate removal of objectionable content and ejection of the users responsible. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile, which permanently removes your personal data (see our Privacy Policy).

07

Quid AI

Quid AI generates responses using a third-party AI model and a summary of your budget figures (see our Privacy Policy). Responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not advice. Use of Quid AI is subject to fair-use limits, which we may change to keep the service sustainable.

08

Third-party links and content

Deals, maps, banks and other links open third-party sites or apps we don't control. Deal terms are set by the merchant and may change or expire. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

09

Disclaimer and liability

Quid is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or reliance on its information. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

11

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We'll update the date above, and continued use after changes means you accept them.
